OLIVE JAPAN® appointed Ms. Yuka Itaya, a famous actress and news caster, as an official OLIVE AMBASSADOR of OLIVE JAPAN®2017. Biography Itaya graduated from Kyushu International University Comes High School and Fukuoka Jo Gakuin Junior College. She worked as an exclusive model for PeeWee in 1994. In 1995, Itaya joined with Hanamaru Hakata (As Hakata Tsuruya at the time) and Otako Pū as South End×Yuka (stylized as SOUTH END×YUKA) and released the single “So.ta.i”. OLIVE JAPAN 2017 announces total entry numbers and medal numbers. In the competition 2017 edition, there counted total 611 entries from 21 nations. OLIVE JAPAN presented 411 Awards as 13 PREMIER, 192 GOLD and 2016 SILVER. SPAIN is top runner to have total 192 entries with 8 PREMIER, 88 GOLD and 49 SILVER, following by ITALY with 122 entries with 3 PREMIER, 51 GOLD and 35 SILVER, both record high in OLIVE JAPAN history. Especially, total 122 entries from ITALY was marvellous with its over 40% decrease of production.

Thank you for so many registration to OLIVE JAPAN 2017 International Olive Oil Competition. While we have over 620 entries from 25 nations, this is the largest number of the entries for OLIVE JAPAN 6 years history. The winners will be appeared on this website on April 24th, and the result notice towards each entrant will start early in May by email. OLIVE JAPAN will make brief feedback from our judges to all entrants. The winners will be invited to exhibit International Olive Marche Tradeshow in July in Tokyo with fee.
