• All samples must be shipped and arrived at OLIVE JAPAN by May 18th, 2027.
  Should be properly wrapped and packed to prevent from any damages during shipping.

             – Should be processed during May 2026 – May 2027

    • 4 Bottles/tins if 200ml – 250ml per bottle/tin
    • 3 Bottles/tins if 375ml – 500ml per bottle/tin
    • 2 Bottles/tins if 750ml or more per bottle/tin

                  TABLE OLIVE SAMPLES
                      – Should be packed during May 2026 – May 2027

    • 4 Bottles/tins if 200g – 400g per bottle/tin
    • 2 Bottles/tins if 500g or more per bottle/tin
      ※All Table Olive Samples should be expired after September 2027 and Room Temparature storage product
• All the Samples should be properly labeled as the commercial products.
• No Analyze report is necessary.
• All the shipping cost and charges/duties/custom taxes and charges must be paid by the contestant.
• The samples should be attached with proper commercial invoice, packing list and the copy of the confirmation email from OLIVE JAPAN with entry number.

The OLIVE JAPAN International Olive Competition will acknowledge receipt of the samples. The OLIVE JAPAN International Olive Competition is not responsible for any shipping or customs charges and taxes. A licensed broker with applicable importing licenses must clear international shipments of the samples. If you have an importer it is best to use your own importer.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS REQUIRE:
SAMPLE WAIVER:   All sample shipments to JAPAN must be clearly declared as “SAMPLE, NO COMMERCIAL VALUE, NOT FOR SALE” in the applicable commercial invoices and pro-forma invoices and the packing list attached with the samples. OLIVE JAPAN has no responsibility to make proper custom clearance nor to prepare adequate shipping documents.
YOU MUST DESIGNATE THAT YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR ALL JAPANESE CUSTOMS CHARGES AND TAXES ON YOUR INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING DOCUMENTS OR AIRWAY BILL if your documents should not be properly prepared. The OLIVE JAPAN International Olive Competition and the Olive Oil Sommelier Association of Japan is not responsible for JAPANESE Customs & Brokerage Charges, Taxes and other handling charges and if this is not done properly, your shipment could be delayed until we receive payment for these charges. If the shipment is large enough for commercial airfreight, we must collect estimated tax, duty and customs charges in advance. The commercial value for samples is typically one Euro per bottle and this should be stated on a pro-forma invoice.

OLIVE JAPAN strongly advise to use DHL to ship your samples to Japan.  We had experienced huge damages and trouble of the samples shipped by FedEx=TNT, EMS and UPS.
